Vintage Sheet Music

Sheet music today is basically a thing of the past. However, there was a day when it was in great demand. All the popular songs back in the 1800's and 1900's sheet music was snapped up about as fast as it was printed. There were the days when people played music as they read it. People who played "by ear" couldn't read music, so sheet music for them wasn't necessary. Lots of people had big stacks of sheet music. There was pop, folk, classical, jazz, etc. Some of the musicians that did well selling sheet music of their were Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, Tommy Dorsey, Nat King Cole, and Bing Crosby. Fine musicians, they were.
