There was a time when church steeples and crosses were synonymous. When you saw one, you saw the other. The idea was that the church pointed the way to God through Jesus Christs death on the cross. It was a non-verbal message that has spaned the ages of time. Sometimes, the steeple was very small with a very big cross. Sometimes the reverse was true. Didn't really matter about that.............the message was and still is.........Mankind - the way to God is through the cross of Jesus. Somethings never change......aren't you glad!
