Back in yesteryear, there wasn't a lot of metal for items needed around the house and farm. If you could come up with something that could be made of wood instead of metal..........good for you. That's what you see in the photo. It's a latch, lock, that is made of wood instead of metal. Worked fine, looked good, did the trick. It was intended to keep critters out.............not people.
