Remember when you were a kid and had time to lay on your stomach and watch ants going back and forth? Then you would roll over on your back and watch clouds going by and birds building nests. Those were the days. This photo shows what an ambitious woodpecker can do when motivated. He has made himself a two story apartment. Not bad!!
