Jukeboxes

Back in the early days of music there was a machine that contained the most popular recordings of the day. They were usually found in restaurants and bus stops. The machine was called a "jukebox". For a dime, you could play your favorite song while waiting for your food or ride. Some of the popular songs back in the 1940's and 50's were: Hound Dog, Tennessee Waltz, Ain't That A Shame, Great Balls Of Fire, Blue Moon Of Kentucky, Your Cheating Heart, and Long Tall Sally. It has been said that Patsy Cline's song "Crazy" was the most played jukebox song of all time. The jukebox was extremely popular with country and rock-n-roll fans, but crooners like Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra were popular to.
Jukeboxes today are found in antique stores
